Meet the Team
Body Conditioning is an exercise and rehab studio offering contemporary Pilates classes.
Each teacher is an individual, and works in slightly different styles, influenced by their own backgrounds, interests and experiences. We are not robots or machines, and I am a great believer in variety and deviation. Each instructor is a fully qualified PT instructor with a minimum of 5 years Pilates experience.
Lucy HaithI was introduced to the concept of Pilates when I worked with the Royal Ballet Company in 1994. In 2001 I left the Royal Ballet Company to broaden my skills as a Physiotherapist and established the BODY CONDITIONING studio. I also worked as a consultant to Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Niche Joshi Clinic in Wimpole Street, London treating dancers and actors from the West End theatres and film industry.
Sarah HuckleMy right hand woman! Sarah attended Pilates classes with me when I first started in my attic room 15 years ago. She is my development and ideas girl, still gets excited about exercises, is in her element putting different sequences together and trying out original work. We love getting creative, bouncing new ideas off each other.
Joolz ClarkeAn inspiration! Ex blacksmith, (she has muscles of steel), mother of 4 with a six pack! She is the fittest person I know. Joolz will give you the confidence to push yourself just that bit further. she has an interest in diet and nutrition. Joolz runs the mens' class and an advanced class for the tough!
Julie SurkittOur newest recruit! Julie has a background in business, her interest in Pilates developed into teaching after starting classes at the Bodyconditioning studio. Calm and caring but with a wicked sense of humour, Julie has an awesome attitude to life “don’t sweat the small stuff”, I have learnt a lot from her.
She is our night owl and takes the evening classes.
